beauty and memory. trying to take it all in: the everyday, the ephemeral, the transcendent, the ordinary, the fabric of life. here at the conflux of beauty and memory are all these things and then, then, then the compression, the transition into memory or is it dream, or nostalgic vision, dreamtime vision, documentary vision, objective record, subjective artwork, objective memory, subjective memory.

what is it to live, what is it to remember, what is it to forget? the camera can help, can record and retain that which slips away through the grey matter so very easily. and more, it can grasp that beauty of the everyday, those moments of euphoric joy when a shaft of light or a freshly painted wall or a freshly ploughed field or the colour of the sky or the colour of your thoughts or the delicate lines of a bare tree or a bridge or a hillock or a pylon, or, or, or [something astounding, something average] jumps out on you and takes you briefly out of your day, takes you somewhere amazing as the mind floats away on a raft of ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
